Leaving a Legacy
Have you ever stopped for a moment and wonder how people would reflect upon your life after you are gone?
I know it's a weird and awkward thing to discuss but it will put your life into perspective if you do it.
I feel so lucky to have lived my life with such a great family.
I feel blessed that I am not ashamed to tell the world that Jesus Christ is my Lord and Savior and that he died for my sins. I don't feel worthy of his love some days but he is always there to assure me I am HIS child and he loves me NO MATTER WHAT!
I believe that God had a plan for Bubba and I to be involved with The Make A Wish Foundation. I'm not sure why he chose this path for us, we literally picked the charity "out of the air" 6 years ago. We knew it helped kids and that was good enough for us.
Little did we know that this charity would mean more to us on a personal level in the years to come...
Now, we see just how AWESOME this foundation really is and how much good they bring to each family they help.
For those of you who may not know- Last fall my son Bobby's good friend, Trace was diagnosed with "Ewing's Sarcoma". It has been a very long fight in treating this cancer but Trace being the "Lil Fighter" that he is... has never given up the battle.
He has continued to live life as normal as one can and do all of the stuff he's been accustomed to doing... Trace is on the road to recovery and we look forward to the day when we can shout that he is CANCER FREE! I know that this day will arrive very soon.
Our community has come to the family with overwhelming support. They are sweetest, most kind family I've met in a very long time.
Bubba's tourney raised $15,000.00 this spring. YAY!
We are going to get to make "wishes" come true again... It's the most WONDERFUL feeling you could ever experience!
Hold your family close today, tell 'em you love them and then go out and make a difference in a someones life.
Let God lead you on the path that only he can.
Don't be afraid to listen to what he is saying to you...
